Product Overview

The medical scar patch consists of three parts: protective layer, silicone gel layer and release layer. The protective layer is a polyurethane film, which is classified into two types: skin-colored and transparent according to the color, and the product types are A and B. The silicone gel layer consists of polydimethylsiloxane; the release layer is a polyethylene film.

Product Features

1. Silicone polymer's three-dimensional mesh structure creates lasting pressure to promote regular growth of fibers and inhibit fibroblasts and capillary hyperplasia.

2. Softens the scar and reshapes the soft and smooth elasticity.

3. Soothes itching and pain symptoms, and reduces scar congestion.

4. Lightens the color, and restores skin color.

5. Good stretching, can be repeatedly pasted, washable.

6. Continuous use of 3 months can have better results. Can be cut and used as needed.

Mechanism of Working 

1. Water retention: For newly healed wounds, it can arrest the evaporation of water vapor on the scar surface, playing a role similar to that of the skin stratum corneum. As it reduces water permeability, it reduces the stimulation of water evaporation on the capillaries, inhibits capillary hyperplasia, and reduces collagen deposition, thus controlling scar hyperplasia.

2. Hydration: for old scars, after use, the increase of water content in the cuticle of the skin makes the permeability of water-soluble proteins and many low molecular weight water-soluble inflammatory mixtures in the scar increase and spread to the scar surface, so that the water-soluble products in stroma decrease. The fluid pressure drops and the scar softens and matures.

Indications

It is used to help improve pathological skin scars and assist in preventing their formation. It is not intended for use on unhealed wounds, such as surgical incisions, closed wounds, prevention of scar hyperplasia, red raised scar, hypertrophic scar, and keloid.
